Unbelievable Places that are Hard to Believe Really Exist


Our world is so full of wonders that new and amazing places are discovered every day, be that by professional photographers or amateurs. Different geographical locations, climatic conditions and even seasons offer the widest variety of natural wonders: pink lakes, stunning lavender or tulip fields, breath-taking canyons and mountains, and other places you can hardly believe actually exist!

No wonder that traveling in one of the best forms of recreation – even looking at these pictures takes your mind to far away places… And yes, all those of those places are real!

1. The Tunnel of Love, Ukraine


The Tunnel of Love is a section of industrial railway located near Klevan, Ukraine, that links it with Orzhiv. It is a railway surrounded by green arches and is three to five kilometers in length. It is known for being a favorite place for couples to take walks.

2. Tulip Fields in Netherlands


When you think of the Netherlands, it is easy to picture never-ending fields of brightly coloured flowers. The best time to see the flower fields of the Netherlands is early April. Although the flowers often begin to bloom in mid-March, it can depend on the weather. However, these flower fields are more than just aesthetically beautiful.

3. Salar de Uyuni: One of the World’s Largest Mirrors, Bolivia


Salar de Uyuni is the world's largest salt flat, located in Bolivia. Photographers flock here to capture the unique landscape. It is often visited as part of a 3 or 4 day tour of South West Bolivia.

Salar de Uyuni comprises over 10,000km² in the Potosi region. The salt is over 10 meters thick in the centre. In the dry season, the salt plains are a completely flat expanse of dry salt, but in the wet season, it is covered with a thin sheet of water that is still drivable.

4. Hitachi Seaside Park, Japan


Hitachi Seaside Park is located on the Pacific Ocean side of the Japanese coast, and incorporates a unique natural environment of sand dunes, forests, grasslands and springs. With a total space of 350 hectares, of which 200 hectares are open to the pacific, this huge spacious park is home to a variety of colorful flowers and grasses throughout the four seasons, as well as numerous other attractions, including an amusement park.

5. Mendenhall Ice Caves, Juneau, Alaska


The Ice Caves are inside the glacier, accessible only to those willing to kayak to, and then ice climb over the glacier. However, the glacier is retreating increasingly fast as global warming heats the oceans and temperatures rise.

6. Red Beach, Panjin, China


Red Beach, located in Dawa County, Panjin, Liaoning, China, is famous for its landscape featuring the red plant of Suaeda salsa of the Chenopodiaceae family. It is based in the biggest wetland and reed marsh in the world.

7. Bamboo Forest, Japan


Growing tall on the edges of Kyoto, the Sagano Bamboo Forest is a once tranquil nature spot that is now a series of tourist-packed pathways. it was referred to as One of the most beautiful groves on Earth.

8. Street in Bonn, Germany


Bonn itself is a very nice and interesting destination, while the blooming street is a striking attraction. Each year cherry blossom trees start blooming around mid April for about two to three weeks.

9. Naica Mine, Mexico


The Naica Mine of the Mexican state of Chihuahua, is a working mine that contains extremely large selenite crystals.

10. Wisteria Flower Tunnel in Japan


Located in the city of Kitakyushu, Japan, Kawachi Fuji Garden is home to an incredible 150 Wisteria flowering plants spanning 20 different species. The garden’s main attraction is the Wisteria tunnel that allows visitors to walk down an enchanting tunnel exploding with colour. the best time to visit is from late April to mid May, typically peaking at the end of April. The garden is private so there is an entry fee.

11. Black Forest, Germany


The Black Forest is a mountainous region in southwest Germany, bordering France. Known for its dense, evergreen forests and picturesque villages, it is often associated with the Brothers Grimm fairy tales. It's renowned for its spas and the cuckoo clocks produced in the region since the 1700s. The region’s largest town, Freiburg, is filled with Gothic buildings and surrounded by vineyards.

The coastal province of Zhejiang is famed for their gorgeous green tea fields.

13. Tianzi Mountains, China


Tianzi Mountain is located in Zhangjiajie in the Hunan Province of China, close to the Suoxi Valley.

14. Hang Son Doong, Vietnam


Son Doong Cave is in the heart of the Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park in the Quang Binh province of Central Vietnam. Only recently explored in 2009-2010 by the British Cave Research Association, the cave has only been open to the public since 2013.

Lake Hillier is a saline lake on the edge of Middle Island, the largest of the islands and islets that make up the Recherche Archipelago in the Goldfields-Esperance region, off the south coast of Western Australia.

17. Lake Retba, Senegal

The mountain also serves as the triple border point of Venezuela (85% of its territory), Guyana (10%) and Brazil

1. Dachstein Stairway to Nothingness – Austria


Situated near the town of Schladming. The 100m long suspension bridge offers spectacular views of the Alps, but at such dizzying heights only the bravest are likely to test their mettle.
Visitors to Dachstein’s Stairway to Nothingness must first cross Austria’s highest bridge, with a 1,300ft drop to the bottom of the mountains. They then face 14 steps that descend from the cliff face and which are surrounded by glass walls.

The entire structure took six months to build and was created by an engineering firm specializing in high-altitude construction.The bridge that leads to the steps is the highest in Austria.

2. Tokyo Skytree Observation Decks – Japan


The Tokyo Skytree is the world’s tallest tower, third-tallest structure, with a height of 2,080 feet (634 meters), and has Japan’s two tallest observation decks: the lower one is located at 1,148 feet (350 meters) and has a section of glass flooring. The upper one, which has floor-to-ceiling windows and 360-degree-views of the city, has a height of 1476 feet (450 meters). On a clear day, Mount Fuji can be seen from the observation decks.

3. AlpspiX Viewing Platform – Germany


At the base of Alpspitze peak, visitors will find the AlpspiX Viewing Platform hovering 13 meters (42 feet) over an empty void in the shape of an ‘X’ with two protruding platforms.
The towering structure is situated in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen region of the country and provides panoramic views of surrounding Hoellental and Garmisch.

Visitors brave enough to walk to the end of the glass-walled platforms can look 3,281 feet (1,000 meters) down into the valley. The platform remains open in winter, when the grid flooring allows snow and ice to pass through.

4. EdgeWalk CN Tower – Canada


EdgeWalk is CN Tower’s most thrilling attraction in its history, and the first of its kind in North America. Located on the roof of the CN Tower’s restaurant at a height of 1,168 feet (356 meters), it is the world’s highest full circle hands-free walk.The EdgeWalk allows visitors to slip into climbing harnesses and walk around the edge of Canada’s tallest structure.

There’s also a glass floor 1,122 feet (342 meters) above ground level, and although the glass is only 2.5 inches thick, it’s reportedly strong enough to hold 14 hippos — if they could fit in the elevator. CN Tower also has glass-floored observation deck and outdoor SkyTerrace.

5.The Ledge – United States


At 1,353 feet and 110 stories above the streets of downtown Chicago, The Ledge at Willis Tower’s Skydeck will transform any visitor’s–or local’s for that matter–experience with the Windy City. The four boxes that make up The Ledge experience in Willis Tower, are made from half-ton panels of glass. The walls consist of three layers, each half an inch thick.

Visitors who step into one of the boxes can see for 50 miles across four states. Six million people have ventured into the boxes since 2009, 500 people have proposed in them and visitors can now even get married in them. The boxes retract into the building when the windows need cleaning.

6. Cliffwalk – Canada


The Cliffwalk is a 700-feet (213 meter) walkway attached to a granite cliff face above the Capilano River in British Columbia, Canada. The highest point is 300 feet (90 meters) above the river.
To attach the Cliffwalk, 16 anchor points were drilled 19 feet (six meters) into the rock face using 1,825 bolts, and 40 tons of steel were used.

7. Matteo Thun’s Viewing Platform – Italy


The best views of Italy’s Merano region are from this binocular-shaped viewing platform, high above the gardens’ huge oak forest.

The viewing platform is just one of several within the gardens, which were recently named Italy’s most beautiful gardens.

8. Stegastein Lookout – Norway


This lookout platform provides mind-blowing views of the surrounding mountains and Aurlandfjord. A must do if you’re not afraid of heights.The glass panel at the end of this walkway gives visitors the impression they could simply fall off the end.

Commissioned by the Norwegian Highway Department as part of a project to improve the appearance of the country’s tourist routes, the lookout allows visitors to look straight down into the Aurlandsfjord, 2,000 feet (609 meters) below.

9. The View from The Shard – England


London’s highest and best view. The Shard is the tallest building in Western Europe and The View From The Shard is located on floors 68, 69 and 72.

The best panoramas are from floor 72, at a height of 800 feet (244 meters).
This open-air observation deck offers 360-degree views of the city.
Visitors can also look up into the “shards” of glass that form the top of the skyscraper.

10. Grand Canyon Skywalk – United States


The Grand Canyon Skywalk is a transparent horseshoe-shaped cantilever bridge and tourist attraction in Arizona near the Colorado River on the edge of a side canyon in the Grand Canyon West area of the main canyon.

This steel and glass walkway extends 70 feet (21 meters) over the lip of the Grand Canyon, almost one mile above the valley floor. The 90 tons of glass were imported from Germany. The Skywalk, which is bolted to the canyon’s rim, can support the weight of 70 747 passenger jets.

1. Anse Source d’Argent – Seychelles




On the top of the most beautiful Beaches around the world Anse Source d’Argent, located in La Digue, the third largest inhabited island of the Seychelles. A major contender for the top spot, this ribbon of sand on the island, La Digue, mixes salt-white and flamingo-pink sands to create one of the most photographed beaches in the world.
A reef keeps the water calm, so make the most of rental snorkels to explore the shallow waters, after which you can explore granite boulders further inland.
The nearby restaurant, Lanbousir, offers local Creole dishes, including the tempting fruit-bat curry. DIY lovers can fix their own picnic from a supermarket just five minutes from the beach.
From the Seychelles’ main island of Mahe, take a ferry to the jetty at La Passe, on La Dique Island. From there flag down an ox-cart to L’Union Estate. A footpath leads to Anse Source d’Argent. There’s a small entrance fee for non-residents.

Recognized as the world’s best and one of the most beautiful beaches, located in a beach-lover’s paradise, Maldives. This diamond in the middle of the Indian Ocean has become a favorite with celebs and rich honeymooners drawn by the thought of sleeping over the water, literally. If you want to be as near as possible to the water, you can do no better – especially at Sun Island Beach, where many resorts offer luxury bungalows on stilts in the water, where you can be sent to sleep with the sound of real water lapping at your doorstep. Maya Bay is a white sand beach hugged by steep limestone cliffs. Coral reefs make it an excellent spot for snorkeling. This strikingly beautiful beach has seen its popularity skyrocket after featuring in the Leonardo DiCaprio film The Beach, but it’s still worth visiting for the dramatic setting and marvellous snorkelling opportunities. Thousands of people visit the bay every day.

6. Pulau Perhentian Kecil – Malaysia


The Perhentian Islands lie approximately 10 nautical miles off the northeastern coast of West Malaysia in the state of Terengganu, approximately 40 miles south of the Thai border. The two main islands are the backpacker-happy Pulau Perhentian Kecil (Small Perhentian Island), and Pulau Perhentian Besar (Big Perhentian Island), which has slightly more expensive accommodation. Dive in the crystal blue waters off Pulau Perhentian Kecil and you’re almost guaranteed to swim with sea turtles and small sharks. Hang around the island’s beach-side restaurants at 5 p.m. to watch fishermen bring in the day’s catch and haggle with restaurant owners. The only way to get to the Perhentian Islands is by sea. Boat services are available from Kuala Besut.

7. Hanalei Bay – Hawaii – USA


Hanalei is a census-designated place (CDP) in Kauaʻi County, Hawaiʻi, United States. Hanalei means “lei making” in Hawaiian. Alternatively, the name Hanalei also means “crescent bay” and may be indicative of the shape of Hanalei Bay, which is one of the best beaches in Hawaii.
